I was delighted by the charming and cozy decor of The Smithy. The traditional furniture and beautiful artwork created a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. As a senior, I appreciated the easy accessibility of the hotel. The well-maintained general areas and the spacious layout of the property allowed me to move around comfortably and enjoy my stay to the fullest.
I would have loved to see more assistance available for senior guests. Perhaps the children working there could offer additional support or services that cater specifically to the needs of older individuals.

The property was perfect for our family weekend with plenty of space and a great location. the nearby pub, the Fox Inn, was fabulous and very dog-friendly. Also within walking distance of Stow on the Wold.
Felt most welcome, no complaints at all.

We had a fantastic weekend at The Smithy in Broadwell. The cottage was cozy and clean, with all the space we needed for our family. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the charming village of Stow-on-the-Wold. We loved that the cottage was dog-friendly, even though our adventurous Cocker Spaniel managed to escape under the fence! The nearby pub, The Fox Inn, was a great spot for a drink and dinner. The bathrooms were recently renovated and the shower was amazing. The beds on the first floor were a bit narrow but comfortable. The living area and kitchen were well-equipped and made us feel right at home. The property had a lovely big garden, perfect for relaxing. There were plenty of escape routes for our dog, so we had to keep an eye on him. The only downside was that the kitchen extractor over the cooker could have been cleaner. Also, it gets quite dark in the evenings, so make sure to bring a good torch if you plan on walking to the pub in winter. we had a wonderful stay at The Smithy and would highly recommend it.

Loved the complimentary WiFi, perfect for scrolling social media while stuck in the middle of nowhere. Private parking was a lovely touch, especially if you enjoy staring at your car for hours.
The nearest airports are conveniently far away, Birmingham and Gloucestershire, in case you ever feel the sudden urge to fly away from this charming place.

The location was perfect for leisurely walks and short drives to nearby attractions. Collecting the key from the safe was a breeze, and we encountered no issues during our stay. The heating system was easy to control, keeping us warm on chilly evenings. The kitchen cupboards were well-stocked with crockery and glassware, making meal prep a breeze. The cottage itself was cozy, with recently renovated bathrooms and a fantastic shower. Although the beds on the first floor were a tad narrow, they were still comfortable. a superb experience in a superb location.
Would recommend this hotel.

The cottage had everything we needed for our Christmas stay, including a washing machine and tumble dryer. The location was perfect, just a short walk from a local pub and a short drive to a charming town. We enjoyed the spacious and well-stocked kitchen, which made preparing meals a breeze.
There was a lack of toiletries provided in the bathrooms, and the loft bedroom had a smaller bed. the parking situation was tight for our group, and it would have been nice to have a real fire instead of an electric one.

The property provides well-stocked kitchen cupboards, making it easy to prepare meals. Additionally, the property is dog-friendly, with a spacious garden for furry friends to roam. The utility room's oil smell can be avoided by not parking next to the flue. it provides a comfortable and convenient stay for solo female travelers.
